Y'all know that I live in the hood. As you can imagine, it's pretty wretched most of the time, especially when the parade of hoopties roll down the street blasting some terrible rap song at an ear-splitting volume, which consequently rattles my window and sets off car alarms. I cannot even believe the individual driving the car has any sort of hearing left and can also concentrate on operating a vehicle listening to "music" at that volume.
However, there are times when it's effing hilarious. Like just now when a car rolled down the street and parked, BLASTING Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." And then the dozen or so young males who hang on the street corners all started singing it. And when Whitney hits that note -you know the one: "And IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIeeeeIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!..." they all reached for it, but ended up sounding like a pack of tone-deaf wolves.
They sit out there and they play street games, and wear wife-beaters and lots of jewelry, and they swear and drink and probably a few sell drugs...
But dude...they TOTALLY fucking went for that note!
Hilarious.

It just goes to show, we can all front, but deep down we ALL love some Whitney.
