Hi.
Lately I've been getting a lot of flack from you bitches about not updating regularly enough to suit your time-wasting selves! Well, I've been busy. And though I'm not contractually obligated to give you all the details (Satan was lenient on that particular point), I love most of you enough to at least give you a quick download.
Firstly, unbeknownst to me, when I posted the last entry about the Importance of Pandas, which was essentially a heart-felt ode to my terminally-ill cousin, he had already passed away a couple of hours prior. The events that followed are Strictly Private and Confidential, but I am so grateful that I can say he was a great, great man and he was honored as such. I have never before witnessed such a spectacular send-off for one dearly departed soul. He will be tremendously missed by more people than I can possibly count.
My cousin's passing threw everything for a loop and before I knew it, I was on the E train Thursday morning to pick up MFDC from the airport. This was his second time in New York and we did lots of fun things!
We walked around in unexpected heat and humidity, spent an hour Friday night in a long, sweaty line at Port Authority (that's some Romance for your asses!), rode a Peter Pan bus, took leisurely strolls through my ghetto, met all types of family, ate kebabs on my Dad's deck, killed some Peanut Butter Perfection at Cold Stone, dealt with all types of roommate drama, sweated, ate, walked, drank lots of water, ate some motherfucking Magnolia cupcakes. We held hands, too, but SHHHH!!! Don't tell him I told you that! Some things should remain MUY PRIVADO.
Besides, I'm planning on killing Fer with all the gory details.
Also, in the midst of the past few crzy weeks, Meghan had a birthday! I created a special "Birthday Meghan" South Park character that includes everything I hope she enjoyed on her birthday - and probably did!
So, that's what's been up with me.
The countdown, since a few of you asked, was to MFDC's arrival. I will reset it and count down to My Imminent Departure From New York. I have 10 weeks remaining, lots of money to make and save, and my resume to ready. Looking forward to accomplishing these tasks was the lone, tenuous thread of restraint which kept me from clutching MFDC's mandles as he left for his gate and begging him to stay.
