Last night I bet MFDC that Linda Ronstadt sang an 80s tune called "Good-bye To You."
After he very rudely slammed my not-too-shabby music knowledge, we settled on the terms of the wager only after I forced an apology from him. If I won, he was to blog that I was RIGHT, DAMMIT. Same went for him. If he was right, I had to blog it.
I was SO SURE it was Linda Ronstadt bouncing around in that red dress in the video my mind was associating with the song. Alas, I was wrong.
MFDC was sort of a gentleman about it, but I think that had a lot to do with his brush with gluttony at dinner, which effectively put him into a food coma and dashed previously laid-out booty plans.
At least, I THOUGHT he had been a gentleman about it until I received an iTunes gift of Linda Ronstadt's Greatest Hits in my yahoo account today.
Asshole.

It wouldn't be rude of YOU to say, "I have a much better grasp of medical science" or "I have a much better grasp of film history and technique", would it?
Anyhoo.
Enjoy "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1.," which has her singing "Different Drum" with her first band The Stone Poneys.
And...so...who DOES sing Goodbye to you? I loved that song since I first heard it - which was when it was sung by Jane Curtain's daughter "Jennie" on the tv show Kate and Allie
"Goodbye To You" was done by Scandal, who also did "The Warrior."
Scandal's lead singer, Patty Smyth, sang "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" with Don Henley.
Scandal did good bye to you...
DAMN YOU DAN....I WANTED TO BE THE SMART ONE FOR ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go here for the lyrics..
