I'm officially a Californian now! Woot!
The whole process was relatively painless. Big shout out to Irene for suggesting I make an appointment. I walked right up to the clerk and got started on my paperwork.
It was then that I realized I forgot my NJDL on the scanner at my desk. Because I just HAD to scan it since I just HAD to blog about it! I sheepishly shuffled up to the clerk and was all, "UmIjustrealizedthatIforgotmyoldlicense?CanIgograbit?Iworkrightupthestreet?Sorry?"
And she was all, "Sure, just make sure you come back today and I'll still honor your appointment."
I heart Californians! (Most of the time.)
I drove back to the office, got my license, drove back to the DMV, turned in my paperwork, showed my passport ("Wow! What a change!"), got a number, waited about 10 minutes to be called, paid some seriously old (like from the FIRST time I lived here) fine and the license fee, got my picture taken, and took the test and passed despite a crazy old lady disrupting everyone!
YAY! Happiness and relief!
And, just because you might not have gotten a big enough dose of the CUTE that IS Dan and Danielle, here's a snapshot of us at BabySteve's wedding, a blog about which is forthcoming:
PS - Happy Birfday LKPH! I miss you. Lots and lots.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! And welcome! I know you came here for MFDC and stuff but try the cheese. Happy cheese comes from happy cows - and happy cows live in California. Ya - I'm not sure why I just told you that either. ;)
More blog please
