A Very Sparkly Christmas

My dear, dear friends. I can NOT believe it has taken me 48 whole hours to get this post up. First of all, I have to apologize if you're reading this here and have not heard from me or Dan personally, but Wednesday was Christmas and Thursday we were traveling to the East Coast from 4 a.m. PST to 5 p.m. EST. Which, in case you don't want to do the math or your hands are too tied up to do some counting (and, if so, I hope their busy doing something fun), that equals out to a hella huge amount of traveling and being "out of pocket" as we say in the corporate world.

However, I'm attempting to harness some cranky WiFi in an attempt to Share My Joy.

And you know, my therapist would probably chide me for even putting up an apologetic disclaimer regarding something that pretty much gives me the right to make everything ALL ABOUT ME, so really, I don't have to care about you and your feelings. But I do. Because I love you. And I want to do the right thing as much as possible. Even though I've entered that time in a woman's life when selfishness is permitted to reign supreme and everyone else just has to effing DEAL. There is only one time in a woman's life where such a thing is tolerated. And that, my friends...



is a woman's time as a BRIDE-TO-BE!! WOOT!

He gave me my ring in a Transformers gift bag with Optimus Prime on the front. We talked about the future. He said, "We'll have babies. And teach them guitar."

So, yes, we're engaged. Big YAY! And we're super happy and super excited and super in love.
