I'm not so sure it's the court system in CA so much as it is a combination of the severely declining social mores of a celebrity-obsessed society and a scandal-hungry media. Pop-culture has infiltrated every aspect of this country, including how we govern.
And now I've officially hit the wall. I must make my way home while I still have a tiny bit of energy to do so.
So, what you're trying to tell me is that it's okay to have sleep-overs with children...and let them sleep in your bed...as long as you say it's all an innocent, loving, fun, childish thing. WTF!

The prosecutors were incompetent in the OJ trial, and it's possible that they were in this case too. Imagine an attorney so bad that they can't convince a jury of conservative white people that Michael Jackson doesn't love boy-dong. Matlock would have put him in JAIL.

Here's the thing, though, if it were me, and that child were MY son, I would've ripped that fucker's testicles from his body with my own bare hands, a la Bruce Willis in Sin City.

First things first - AMEN!!!
Second - RockDog, this is EVERYONE'S blog! I am just mistress of its universe is all. I love that you were all fired up over this. I have to say, I expended little to almost no energy fretting over it, since I already had a pessimistic hypothesis regarding the outcome.
I'm not sure what that says about me. Either I'm psychic, or I've lost all faith in humanity. I would go with the latter, but my favorite yellow highlighter turned up yesterday after I grieved for days under the impression it was stolen. So, you know, I still have some faith.
